The world was built on less, people in development need more
Growing up in the Noosa Heads area, I lived a coastal life until Grade 10. In the months leading up to my move, I was traveling to Brisbane every weekend to play A-grade softball—Saturday games in North Brisbane, followed by Sunday matches in Redland Bay. After each round, I’d return home, fresh and ready for school on Monday. That short but intense period sparked a simple but powerful idea: relocate to Brisbane and continue my education at Kelvin Grove High School.
Once settled, I maintained my first job at a football club and soon ventured into various work fronts—bartending, security, insulation contracting. Each role added a layer of discipline and resilience. After a long break from formal study, I felt a surge of internal energy—a need to engage with something requiring precision and higher-level thinking. That led me to computers, and eventually to becoming a Building Designer through South Bank TAFE.
I had intended to pursue further studies at TAFE, but due to low enrolments, the course didn’t eventuate. My alternative was university—a path I hadn’t considered, largely due to low self-confidence around the idea of attending. But time passed, and something shifted. I enrolled at Queensland University of Technolgy to pursue a double Bachelor’s in Architecture and Business—the very qualification I’d set out to achieve from the beginning.
My creativity and ideas made the decision to take on a double degree feel natural. I’m proud of how things are unfolding and continue to build my digital presence, adding to my armory of content through my website—a space for others to inspect, reflect, and connect.
I value networking in digital systems and enjoy making the most of technology on a shoestring budget. Life feels fun when you can picture everything falling into place. Time will tell the feasibility of my work—through business, research, and creative execution. But I believe order in life and living is the answer. That belief fuels my journey, one step at a time.
